Greetings,

Apologies for the segue. My Romulans arrived last Thursday, but due to a hectic week at work I've only just been able to take photos of them. I have had part of a game with them.
They weren't doing too bad, but I do need to figure out how to do the overcharged plasma death that the Romulans can do better than most.

The family photo contains a War Eagle (far left), Condor (big one at the back), 3 Snipes (small ones at the front) and two Battle Hawks (far right).

Hope you like them.

Regards,

  1. Do you mind if I ask what colors you used for the Romulans?

  2. Greetings,

I use a base of Knarloc Green (GW Foundation paint). This is actually the colour of the nacelles.
The hull is painted in Skarsnik Green (GW Layer paint).
The bridge, tail, hull edge and nacelle pylons are painted in Sybarite Green (GW Layer paint).
All of the green is then inked with Thraka Green (GW Wash).
The red parts are painted with Khorne Red (GW Base paint) and are inked with Ogryn Flesh (GW Wash).
The nacelle collectors are painte in three stages. First a base of Jokaero Orange (GW Base), then a coat of Troll slayer Orange (GW Layer) and finally an ink of Fuegan Orange (GW Shade).
The metal is just Boltgun Metal (GW Colour) with no ink.

    Hope that helps.

  3. Thanks. These look great by the way. I'm going to try to paint mine with a similar scheme. The generic gray is so boring.
