Another High Elf post...

Greetings,

Here is my first Ellyrian Reaver fully painted apart from the base.

I will say one thing if you are building these things. Put them together with glue, but don't glue them to their bases. If you do you will have a hard time painting the surcoat and the belly of the horse.

I used the same range of colours for this model as I did the other High Elves. The horse, quiver and the feather crest was the only thin really different.

  • The horse was firstly painted Deneb Stone.
  • It was given a thick-ish coat of Devlan Mud.
  • It was given a final coat of Badab Black to bring it in line with the rest of the model.

  • The quiver was achieved by going over the piece with Thraka Green.
  • Then a coat of Badab Black was used.
  • The horse and mane was gone over carefully with Deneb Stone.
  • The entire quiver was coated again with Thraka Green.

  • The crest was achieved by using two coats of Thraka Green and followed by a coat of Badab Black.

Regards,

English Pillock
