On Muppets, we RIDE!!!

Greetings,

Here is my Mournfang Cavalry WIP photos. I have shown these to a few people and needless to say their heads almost exploded. The weakest one (and my first) is the one with the blue paint on him. His eyes are too far apart and his neck isn't as thick as the others. I may go back and re-do him though.

 'Wot 'chu lookin' at?

 'I can haz cookiez nowz?'

Comments upon them are most welcome. I will say that I managed to do all 4 of these in about 3 hours. The blue one taking an hour by himself, and I still couldn't get him right. Ho-hum...

Cookie Ogres Photo-dump

Greetings,

Here are my Cookie Ogres so far. I apologise for no WIP photos, but I was inspired and was on a roll when I was painting and Green Stuff-ing them.

Gonzo the Great is the Bellower for this unit. The Thunderfist is the one with the Cookie Monster fur draped over the barrel.

I kinda messed up on the Green Stuff-ing here. The pelt was too wide and it didn't look like it was a cloak. So I peeled part of it back. It looks like a freshly skinned pelt.

 Kermit hiding from Miss Piggy.
I couldn't find googly eyes small enough for him...

 OM NOM NOM!!!!

'The hands filled with COOKIES compels ye!'
(And, yes, he does have a pocket with a cookie in it.)

'I can sees yous!'

Hope you like them. Comments on what you like, don't like with reasons would be great. I have more to make and my Green Stuff-ing is getting much better.

C is for Cookie.

Greetings,

Now I consider myself to be a relatively reasonable and pseudo-sane person, now before you look at the rest of the post, you MUST WATCH THE VIDEO. This will help you understand the following insanity.

REMEMBER: VIDEO FIRST.

Ok...

Did you watch the video?

Really?

Fine. I believe you; thousands wouldn't!

I apologise for being rather quiet on the blog front, a hectic month of work and a need to get stuff done without documenting it has left me with a lot of things painted with only a few photos taken of them. I am putting up the project that I have enjoyed the most today. The Romans will come later.

Here is some of what I have been doing recently.

Here is a mess of Green-Stuff work. The head was done over the Irongut banner, and was done first. the googly eyes are 6mm ones from a hobby store near to Orctown. The cookies were individually made and added to the mouth with a generous application of super glue and patience.

Here is his GLORIOUSNESS in full TECHNICOLOUR!!!

He was a relatively easy paint job. Dark blue base, dry-brushed a slightly lighter blue, the given a blue ink.
The cookies were painted black first. Then coated in a brown, then a light brown on top, then a dark brown for the chocolate chips.

Here he is in a unit of Ironguts. To tie in the Cookie Monster theme all of the Ironguts have Cookie Monster pelts upon their person.

I have many more photos, but I will save them for another post as this is already rather long.

p.s.

I do not have the right to distribute anything related to the Cookie Monster. He is a product of Sesame Street, I am just having a laugh at my own expense.

ROMANES EUNT DOMUS!!!

Greetings,

No more posts for the prior campaign turn. Nor is there a turn 4 as yet due to HK being 'touched by Grandfather Nurgle,' his words, not mine... I must also apologise for any disturbing mental images given to people.

Since HK was out of commission me and Chad had a pair of Hail Caesar games. 260+ Celt models against 108 or so Romans. We had a hell of a lot of fun, but since we were both much more familiar with the Black Powder rules we kept on getting some of them mixed up.

Until me and Chad have another game I'm not going to post what happened and suchlike. There will be some photos (see the post script) of the sheer absurdity that was the armies if you look at them from a Warhammer Ancients perspective, but from a historical perspective it is much more accurate.

Here are several Romans I have finally gotten enthused to paint due to Hail Caesar. Well the MAXIMVS and PLVTO were painted about a month ago.

PLVTO, MAXIMVS DECIMVS MERIDIVS, IVLIUS FLATUS and MILES CVM CAPITE PVRPVREO (it's a birthmark okay?)
